STAMPS@womeninjazz.world    -    1.4.-1.5.2016 in Halle/Saale Within the framework of the 11th edition of the festival WOMEN IN JAZZ, which was hold in Halle/Germany from 23 April to 1 May 2016, our member Manfred Gorol presented his philatelic exhibit „Woman in Jazz“. A fine initiative, and surely great publicity for music philately.   The video shows a report by MDR TV (in German). A detailed report can be found here (in German) "Philkids rocked the team championships" 12.-13.3.2016     The Philkids from Unna-Fröndenberg have won the regional team championships in North Rhine-Westphalia on March 13. Our member John Hoppe (12) and his friend Jonathan Klappholz (10) have won the 1st price with their joint exhibit "I play in a symphony orchestra". Congratulations to the whole team and their teamleader Jörg Terstegge ! Fewer attended than previously but displays from Valerie Molyneux, John Moseley and David Gabe were admired and discussed. The photograph shows the group around David Gabe’s display of Minnesingers. A useful sales and exchange session ensued and lively discussion continued over lunch. ------> 19. From the abundant touristic offerings we had picked a number of cherries. The resultant mix of philately and art animated many of our members to visit Dresden for our annual meeting.
